Protective Orders
Hello, my name is Brian L. Jackson. I am a Tulsa father’s rights attorney here with Dads.Law, where fathers are not disposable. We’re here to preserve your relationship with your kids. And guys, let’s talk a little bit about pitfalls to avoid the protective order. This is an unfortunate real problem, more so if you’re a guy than if you’re a female. It’s unfortunate, but this is a fact of life. If you aren’t careful, that could potentially be something that becomes an issue. Danielle, I asked you to stop that. That could become an issue. So, some things to be aware of.
Be Careful What You Say
Be careful what you say. Obviously, avoid making any kind of threats, and that includes legal threats, guys, because those can easily be misconstrued. And if she’s one that knows how to push your buttons, I would very seriously suggest that you take an attitude of maintaining professionalism. Because if you snap and say something dumb, it can bite you in the ass, just being blunt. And you don’t want that.
Yeah, POs can be beaten, and there are ways to get out of it, but it’s not a situation you want to find yourself in in the first place. Because at a minimum, to really handle it properly, you’re talking about probably about a $1,200 to $1,500 investment in a decent lawyer. So, my suggestion is don’t get yourself in that situation in the first place.
